Hypnotherapy - how does it work?

To get powerful, lasting and rapid results in therapy, it is essential that the methods employed reach and affect the subconscious mind. The subconscious mind houses the emotions, imagination, memory, habits and intuition. The subconscious mind also regulates our physical body and its functions. It is the very core of how we experience ourselves, others and the world and ultimately our actual body. Hypnotherapy allows access into the subconscious mind and opens the door for change to occur. It is affective for such things as:

  • Understanding who you are
  • Removing unwanted habits
  • Quit smoking and other addictions
  • Stress management and relaxation
  • Anxiety and panic attacks
  • Insomnia
  • Relationship issues
  • Self-esteem and confidence
  • Sexual issues
  • Weight control and eating disorders
  • Motivation
  • Phobias and fears
  • Public speaking
  • Skin problems and health issues
  • Pain management
  • Sports performance
  • Concentration
  • Memory recall
  • Negative thoughts
  • ...and more

Hypnosis - how can it help you?

Hypnosis is a state of deep relaxation in which we allow ourselves access to our own subconscious power. You are neither awake nor asleep. You are somewhere in between. The subconscious is the storehouse of memory, the seat of emotional reaction and the source of our automatic responses. It is at this level that we have stored how we respond to situations in daily living and consequently the most effective level at which to adjust those responses we wish to change. Meaningful change in ourselves, results from a shift in the subconscious mind. Through hypnosis we access and make changes to the subconscious mind and ultimately changes to ourselves.

Self-Hypnosis - how can it help you?
All hypnosis is self-hypnosis, and the Hypnotist or Clinical Hypnotherapist is a facilitator to assist the client to use the state (which by the way is a natural state) to achieve your goals and desired outcomes. Once you have experienced this state and are aware of what this state is and with some practice the client can access this state by themselves for the rest of their lives.
